I have been wanting to get a coat with a circle skirt or full skirt and a form fitting bodice, 50s style. I found one, and it was very very nice but not really in budget. It was great because it would be an ideal dress coat, and I would be able to wear it on casual days too. Literally the best fitting coat I have ever tried on.

Not sure if I want to splurge yet, it would be an investment coat! The challenge is, it was cashmere, and although that would work for part of the year, I might want something water resistant more. We haven't had much rain for the past couple of years so I used my wool coat a lot. Other years it was about my trench.

I LOVE COATS...one of the only things I enjoy shopping for!!! Unfortunately, I haven't lived anywhere I really needed to wear one in 15 years :-(
I only have one and that pretty much just for flying because I always get cold on planes.

Coats and jackets are my shopping downfall. If I want to aquire something new, I make myself abide by a strict one-in, one-out policy. It...doesn't always work...

I grew up on the coast of CA where it wasn't super cold and you could get away with just a sweatshirt or hoodie most of the time. Now that I live on the east coast I was SO EXCITED to buy a few actual winter coats last year

I have a big puffy parka that I wear on the really bad days, and I also have a nice cotton peacoat that I can get away with when it's just a little chilly, then my wool fitted peacoat for when I need to look a little stylish.

Winter is pretty exciting for me.
