Why is it so hard to find a bra that does not cut and dig into you? Got measured and was told I was a C-D cup. 38-40 band. Used to wear a scretch cotton. The company Bali no longer makes it. After what seemed like hours of trying on different brands, wires and no wire, stretch and non, I thought I found one that worked. Bali brand underwire. Wore it for a few hours and it hurt. Going to return it tomorrow. Kept all the tags and receipt. Now I'm back to square one. What a damm pain!! Ideas?? Thanks.
Olga was my favorite brand for years, the minimizer, but they stopped making it. Now I just go from one uncomfortable brand to the next. I ordered some Wacoal but they were too weird. My daughters like Victoria's Secret. We are all about the same size as you.
I love Victoria's Secret bras! There is one in particular that I use and it is a 38-C so I know what you are saying!!! It has three clasps on the back and it has underwire but I NEVER feel it! It is not the prettiest thing in the world, but I live by these bras! They are about $35-$40 I believe but well worth the money. You should go and try one on. Mine is plain with no design and they do make it in a lace but I do not care for lace too much!
Victorias Secret all the way. They have a variety of different types of bras to choose from, from push up, to wire-less, to sports bras, they're all there. They go up to a DD, and are way more comfortable than Frederick's of Hollywood bras.
Several weeks ago I bought a Just My Size bra and it is the most comfortable one that I own. I hate to think of the money that I have spent when it only took $9.99 to get a great and comfortable fit.
Look at the features and seaming of the bra you like. Look for that in another.
Pay attention to:
- strap width ( sholder and under pits )
- wire shape - not everyone has the same shape
- wire material and coverage - feel this in your bra you like. Some bras I swear its like they just jam a coat hanger in there without padding it. You may like to try one without a wire.
- hook count in back - 3 is best ( for over a b cup)
I love VS satin ones. I think they are called second skin satin. Full coverage, underwire thats padded, Bit of strech in the satin, really wide straps, a seam that goes upward so it gives a natural lift and tear drop shape.
They have been making that cut since the 90's...so I am guessing its many people's favorites.
That bra worked for me fat and thin. Its alot harder to find the non cutting ones if you are soft around the ribs. But what I also noticed is you MUST look for wide fabric under the pits if thats the case. VS has that in the second skin satin. Dont wear your bras too tight. It should fit you on the largest setting so when the elastic starts to go you can tighten. (thats what that is for, plus inbetweeny sizes)
Get remeasured by someone else and compare your measures to the guides of the makers. They are all different.
