Ok---I USED to hate them, too, until I discovered...wait for it... a BELT!!! It will make all the difference in how those jeans feel! Mine used to start slipping down on my (I don't have large hips to hold them up!!!) and would sag in the bottom, while constricting on my thighs! With a belt, the jeans stay where they belong! No sliding, so sagging.....You just have to find the right fit for your body. But do try a belt--it makes all the difference in comfort!

I like stretch-jeans, but usually wear shapewear-hose underneath to hide "lumps and bumps", but even though I have a curvy figure and a 'generous' rear-end, I actually prefer how men's jeans fit-not skin-tight around the thighs and waist.
online, both Lands End and Liz Claiborne have 100% cotton jeans. So far, the stores in my area don't carry the jeans without spandex, though. You can order Lands End at a Sears store and not pay shipping. My local Sears store only has the spandex ones. I did find Liz Claiborne 100% cotton jeans at a Dillards in Brentwood (Nashville area), TN. I really hate spandex pants.
If you don't mind to pay extra you could try Citizens of Humanity. The jeans are 98% cotton. The "Amber" has a front rise of 8" and a back rise about 12". The "Faye" is more of a trouser style is good if you have the gapping waistband problem. Both of these styles work for me since I have a bit of junk in the rear.
But on the other end of the price range, a friend recently bought a pair of jeans at Target that didn't fit so she passed them on to me and I actually like them a lot. I hadn't considered buying jeans from Target before but they are the Mossimo brand, 99% cotton, dark wash and more of a trouser cut.
The big thing is finding the jeans that fit your body. I like Lucky jeans. They are all cotton and very comfortable! I also got a pair of Calvin Klein jeans at the thrift shop for $5 that I wear all the time.
I recently bought some jeans online from Lands' End. You can filter on fabric. I bought 100% cotton, women's relaxed fit classic jeans, $29.50. Sit at the waist, nice quality denim. The sizing chart works well. I measured myself before ordering. Shrunk very, very little when washed. If you don't like them, you can take them back at Sears. If you order at Sears, there is no shipping charge.
