I have no need of them, (if I knew what "them" was - you never answered that). But I was curious as to how ANYTHING would "fix" a muffintop. I don't have them - I wouldn't wear anything that fit like that in the first place.
I think you must have misunderstood my posts. No matter.
ChessieMom, you are right, there is no shapewear in the world that will fix muffin tops that aren't covered up by fabric. Spanx and Assets make shapewear that goes from just above the knee to under the bra line. It works great under a clingy dress or longish sweater and pants, but would be horrendous looking if your top wasn't long enough to cover it up.
In other words, shapewear can help the silhouette of a muffin top but won't work if you are wearing clothes that cover your skin,
I always order up at least one size in Spanx but I like the look that it gives me. Spanx is a little pricey, but Assets by Sarah Blakely is sold at Target and she is the owner/creator of Spanx.
Hey that is great news. I love Spanx. I get them at higher end dept. stores. I think they are overpriced, but so is everything else. However, I will be heading to target Thx for the info.
I am going to offend someone, but that is not my purpose....
Instead of the money on the spanx, put it towards the gym! Instead of the time looking for the stuff, spend it working out! My purpose is not to offend, its just better for your health!!!
As a personal trainer who works with clients who have health and weight issues due to medication, chronic disease, etc., I can tell you that sometimes, no matter how much you work out, you will not lose weight. It gets your heart rate going, releases endorphins, etc., but you may only drop a few pounds.
There's nothing wrong with a little Spanx now and again!
I had a hard time finding them, so I'm trying Flexees by Maidenform (?). Seem to be okay.
I need to get more Flexees. I have two that are disentegrating!!
I have the body liners: one has the underwire and the other two are smooth. I just wish they had nicer straps. It looks like a regulation type bathing suit.
It smooths the little bit of muffin toppage on low rise jeans and smooths the back from bra strap noticibility. I also have the lighter pink one for summer. I love them. They smooth over and hold in just a bit, without being binding, restrictive or too costly.
I also really like the Assets brand from Target. I never had any issue with them ripping and I wear them all the time. I like the fact that I can wear my tights with the shaper built right in. They go for around $20 each.
Seriously, I have a pair of Assets tights that have held up for over a year and a half with heavy wearing...unheard of for tights, for me. Why would I drop anymore money if I don't have to? If it ain't broke...

Agreed. I exercise regularly, am considered to be in good shape, but I have a small pooch that remains stubborn. So far it's small enough where I don't feel I need to wear a spanx, but I imagine as I age I will need some help.
In my opinion Spanx curls and rolls even on "smaller" chicks so i can't imagine how it behaves on "fuller figures". Also spanx tends to show through the clothes. Simply my experience. I have a better suggestion. email me and I'll give you details.
