So my DH says I have no sense of fashion, and I tend to agree with him lately. *Now please note that this does not upset him and he's not trying to change me* Granted, we have a 7mo old and since her I have had less time to try and look good. But my issue is that I am plus size, have a flat butt, no hips, C cup (but now smaller from breastfeeding), and a tummy so I don't fit into clothes well. My hipless, flat butt body has a hard time keeping pants up and my smaller chest has issues with plus size tops because they don't fit correctly on top. I can't wear anything stretchy because it just accentuates the larger tummy. I dont have the money to go out and buy really expensive clothes, and I can't find any reasonably priced that fit well. I was in a store with DH the other day and almost broke down because it's so hard to dress nicely for work. Last summer it was ok for me because I was preggo, but I have no excuse to not dress appropriately.

Any tips or advice on things I can buy or outfits I would try.

Look in the Target plus size section. The have an unbelievable selection of clothing for plus size women. They are having a clearance sale right now. Looking at the models on their website might give you an idea of what's in and what will work for you.
Try checking out other plus size clothing websites for ideas of what you might like.

Good luck and remember that a woman's body is beautiful no matter what the size!

Congratulations to you for recognizing that you are a plus woman. Which means you don't need the spill about dressing for your size (which is an indication of psychological issues). With that being said lets talk about your physical issues...from your description it sounds like you want something that will gently hug your girls, while camoflauging your tummy. You also want something a pant that can fit around your belly without appearing as if it's eating what's left of our hips and booty?

A nicely ruched top!

This shirt accentuates your girls, while hiding your tummy.

Remember you can't make the tummy dissapear but you can camoflauge it!

This is work friendly..

**Please note***The elasticity at the top can make you look pregnant if you get the wrong size. Don't be afraid to go up a size. A bigger size will still get the hugging at the top (complimenting the girls), but it will also allow your tummy to breathe (minus the lumps and bumps). Also, I think if you can find one that gathers at the bottom it would be better.

I think this links up to one ( I can't tell due to blocks at work, dammit )

As far as pants, given your description, the only thing (other than body shapers) that would create a better proportion between your lack of butt, the access of stomach and the non-existant hips would be........

Pants that have elastic waisted tops.

Hope this helps

I'm not Plus Size but I'll add that over a ruched top, an open, draping cardigan or loosely constructed vest looks comfortable, stylish and covers less-favored areas without looking like a tent - and you can wear it with anything.

Right now Garnet Hill has some fine examples - take that idea and find it for less locally.
Eileen Fisher Womens Clothing, Dresses, Skirts, Tops, Sweaters, Pants - Eileen Fisher Clothing - Garnet Hill

I checked Lane Bryant but found nothing that I would consider flattering...very boxy.

Monochromatic, over some opaque leggings with flats. Detail at the top will flatter, A-line will disguise bottom or lack thereof.

Default From plus size girl to plus size girl

I have soooo done most of the leg work for us plus size ladies. I have a stomach issue, too, although I am also plump in the chesties area. however, I know plenty of plus size ladies who have your figure. I'm in NYC and what's trendier than NYC?

I'd suggest trying to get into as many dresses as possible. Not only are they comfortable to wear since there is no pants-swallowing butt issues for those of us who don't have apple bottoms, but also, depending on the shape and fabric, they can be extremely flattering. With your smaller bust, I'd go for something that shows some cleavage and make sure you get a good support bra to lift them babies up. Babydoll dresses tend to flatter women with not so broad hips. Something tapered in at the breasts and starts to flow below the bust line. Not too frilly, but neat and nice flow so that there's less cling to the stomach. I promise you, I have stomach issues, I gained a bunch of weight and it seems all in my stomach. Get some really cute dresses, pair them with leggings and some trendy boots or really fun flats. Voila! Or you can get the same style of blouse, fitted at the breasts and shoulders and flowing in the waist down to the middle of the hips. This gives the illusion of hips and you can pear it with some stretch jeans or slacks and cute boots or shoes.

The major thing with big women is to not wear baggy clothes. nice and fitted, but conceal the problem areas with smart blouse choices.

For sales: Lane Bryant seems to be everywhere and when you sign up for their coupons, you really, really get a deal. You get $25.00 off your $75 order, $50 off $150, $75 off of $225. BANDLU.com has some great blouses and dresses for your issue. And decent prices. There are a bunch, if you need more info, see me at urfatfetish@yahoo.com. I'm always happy to help a fellow plus sizer.

I didn't even know we could copy and paste but BJones had some great ideas. here are a couple more.

These are all BANDLU and they really do work. I used to see dresses like these and believed only slim girls look great in them but I've also attached a pic of me in that type of style, and I'm a 24!!! Please ignore the silly pose, If I hadn't posed like that you could really see how flattering this dress is. I also wear it with a wide brown belt and some knee high brown boots I found at Aerosoles that actually fit my calves.
