I have been a somewhat recent convert to "boy shorts". Mine are all stretch-lace, sort of a "v-cut", pretty darn sexy. I like that they seem to offer more coverage and support than a thong or bikini.
Sooooo......I decided to pick up a 3-pack of generic, cotton "boy shorts" at a local discount store, thinking cotton would be good for summer.....
First time I put them on? Grannnnnie Pannnnnties. Ugh.
I'll keep them around for sheer skirts and dresses. It's almost as good as wearing a slip. Right?

Nope, gotta watch the cut...some are sexy, some are cute and some are...matronly. All in the details. I pay special attention to the leg openings...can be a deal breaker.
I had to hit my late thirties and put on a few pounds before I'd even consider anything with a back to it...
On Gossamer has some lovely offerings - when you can find it. Right now nothing with a high waist - or more to the point, not lowrise - but I have a pair from years back, all lace...cotton/rayon and mesh, black...
V.S. came out with the Starlet panties...those were retro but not very Granny...however the waist was just a bit too high to interest me. Most of those are on sale right now...everything is on sale right now. (I take that back...they have pulled those from the site...were just there a day or two ago, either sold out or not available during the sale...)
The 'modern briefs' are cool, especially in a sheer or all-lace. I scored a black, sheer silk pair from that Everything Silk Company a few years ago...
Call me crazy, but I've never worn any underwear at all.
Not since I was a kid, and had them bought for me.
I just never saw the point, I guess.
I don't ever wear dresses, just shorts or jeans.
Underwear just seems like an uncomfortable and unnecessary extra layer of clothing.
I don't consider myself a really unconventional person in any way, but I must admit I've never encountered another female who shared my views on this.
These look like something my mom would say were "so pretty and feminine". She is 70.
