Today I saw a young girl wearing Ugg slippers (yes they were slippers) at the mall!!!
Would you ever dream of wearing slippers past the end of your driveway? What is this world coming to?
Well, we all know I wear yoga/lounge/althetic type pants almost everywhere; but I DRAW the LINE @ slippers, lol!
I don't even wear slippers in my house, there is NO WAY I would wear them in public! Now sandals/flops; yup ALL year around (unless there is snow on the ground, which isn't too common around here anymore).
I am constantly wearing flops, riding boots, kicks, or barefoot; rarely am I in heels, even though I love them, lol.
In Hawaii slippers are flip flops and are worn everywhere. I do not wear them since I am in a wheelchair and can wear anything from just socks to the highest heeled shoes- so flip flops are not what I choose to wear.
I think that being blind has saved me from having another stroke due to all of the fashion faux pas I would have to observe. Sometimes blind is good!

Oh man, this reminds me of the time I injured my foot and had to have stitches..not only did I have to wear slippers, but the Doc told me to stick maxi pads to my car pedals for cushion. A visual treat for those who glanced into my car I'm sure, LOL!
I wear slippers in public because I'm a Filipino American and I'm not ashamed to show the Filipino side of me. I live in the US and travel to the Philippines annually.
Oh HONEY, technology has advanced so far now, they have braille keyboards, with a speak response to alert the person to what is on the screen, not to mention I would venture to guess that someone in her position would have an assistant to help her that could/would read the screen to her.
My mother had a problem with her feet one time and had to wear slippers out. . She hated it. I think that is the only time people should wear slippers out of the house.
I have seen (usually younger girls) wearing Uggs slippers with boots. However, there is no fashion sense here in Portland.
Last winter ~ when it was cold ~ I spotted a girl in a restaurant wearing legwarmers with simple flip-flops. Yep, feet exposed. Couldn't believe it, can't understand it.
