I know a lot of guys who wear them, sometimes backwards, but I don't associate with anyone who wears the silly straight-brimmed hats, or anyone who wears them sideways or at any funny angles.

What's with all the hate for baseball caps anyways? Seems a bit silly to me.
I know a lot of women who wear them, big deal...

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I believe someone's life is very small to sit around and allow something like this to bother them, or worry about it?

I mean, who the heck cares, if you wanna wear a baseball cap wear one....

It depends on how they look overall...what type of outfit they're wearing.

I've noticed that so many guys wear ball caps, young or old. I'm a girl and I love wearing them...it's not a matter of trying to look "cool", but I do feel more casual and comfortable wearing one. Keeps the sun out of my eyes and my hair in place.

Have you ever socialized with such people and how did they turn out?

I don't try to be cool by wearing a baseball cap... not my thing...
Rugged wears one a lot. They are great for protecting your head from cuts and abrasions. They also help keep PVC glue and cobwebs out of your hair. On the lake they help keep the sun out of your eyes and protect against a bad sunburn. I don't wear them to be cool. I wear them for function. Every man needs a cover!

Is this thread for real?

I never though of baseball caps as "Cool" (unless you're trying to look cool in terms of whole package-the gansta look, the d-bag look). I just wear them because they're comfortable, they keep the sun out of my eyes, and while I have a full head of thick hair, it isn't easy to keep gelled and such.

Do I wear it in restaurants and other places you shouldn't wear them? Nope, I'll take it off.

BTW, has the OP even wrote in the thread since the first post? I hope he/she doesn't mean to Boston. It seems like you're required to wear a Red Sox cap of some sort, women or men.
