Thanks for the info. I've purchased them before and had the same thing happen. They were comfortable at first but then I started wearing them and they became very uncomfortable. By that time, I couldn't return to the store so they sat in the closet until I made a trip to the Goodwill. Trying to avoid all that with all of the questions. Just want to narrow it down, order a couple of decent pairs, and be done with it. I didn't realize there were so many different kinds until I started looking around.

I like the original Newport with the covered toe, but if you want an open toe, I'd look to the Daytona.
