I guess I'm thinking of a guy that I've played Softball with. He is "Hot" as in Good Looking, Handsome, Awesome, etc. and has nice muscular legs with some hair on them.
Once in a while you'll see a man with great legs. In his younger days DH had great legs and looked really good in shorts, any kind of shorts. He's 62 now and his sexy legs days are over.
Guys with hairy muscular legs should stay away from long baggy shorts, the ones that end somewhere under the knee. They make them look bowlegged, every last one of them. They look better in shorter versions.

Board trunks and basketball shorts are hot. But IMO, no shorts look good on a guy if he doesn't have a flatter stomach, nice but, and nice legs. Shorts look slouchy if he doesn't have the body for it. Same for women.
Only on guys 12 and under, or you're auditioning to replace one of the Village People.
