Ever noticed that when you go into a working class or blue collar neighborhood many of the people do not pay much attention to their beauty or fashion. Of course some of the reason is due to the cost of staying current, but I am convinced that blue collar people really do not care in most cases about their appearance.
When I go to a class reunion I always can tell the people who are working class or blue collar, they look rough. Their skin is tough looking, their hair looks like something out of the 1980s and they are far more likely to be overweight. They just seem to let themselves go.
Do you agree or disagree? I am talking about most of the time. I do know some working class people who care about beauty, fashion and personal appearance. But most of the time, they look rough!

CLASS???? Sound kind off elitist don't you...... Perhaps the people your used to hanging around with are superficial and narcissistic? Methinks you worry to much about appearancee...........
Blue collar workers generally make their livings off of how their body works. Being pretty and wearing fashionable clothes won't get them promoted like they do in white collar professions. Bodies that are being used WILL show wear and tear.
Personally, I think fashion is a ridiculous waste of time and money, and I see FAR more people that have sedentary desk jobs in whitecollarville who are overweight.
Beauty DOES fade and fashion is a waste of time. They shouldnt' be something you focus on.
Most blue collar workers don't have the extra money left over to spend on weekly facials, manicures, pedicures, massages, botox, restylane, or designer clothes, shoes and jewelry. They are busy working to pay their bills and put food on the table and a roof over their heads for their families.
Many blue collar workers make much more money than someone who works in an office but most do not care about looking good. Why?

Maybe they are more aware of what is really important in life. Even when I could afford it, I couldn't see spending all that time on make-up, hair, or style.
You are probably right. They don't care as much what they look like. Many people think that's the way to be. They have more important things to think about other than themselves. They also work outside, garden, rake their own lawns and wash their own cars. That's hard to do when you have to worry about things like pretty fingernails, and the latest styles.
And, they probably enjoy eating more than they do dieting.
I work blue collar. Many of my younger co-workers are barbie doll wannabes who spend every extra nickel on "being fashionable", at least as far as their budget allows.
Do you intentionally try to **** people off with your stupid stereotypes?
