Older women who try to dress like they're that much younger just look sad, like they're trying too hard. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. However, there are plenty of fashions that a well-seasoned woman will look sexy and classy wearing.

Truthfully, at 70 she probably doesn't give a crap about how she appears....she just wants to be comfortable. I'm 50 and haven't got that brave yet, but I plan to get to there one day. Just get up each day and NOT CARE what anyone else thinks of my attire.

In addition to my MIL's bra-less tank, I just wanted to put it out there that she regularly shops in the Junior's section. I know because I have been shopping with her. I just don't think that a 70 year old should even been in the Junior's section. I'm mid 30's and there are FEW things there that are actually flattering or appropriate.

Well, even more reason she should have a good bra!

There's so many older women I see everywhere, if I was a rich woman with a lot of spare time, I'd get them a professional bra fitting and a properly fit bra.

When some women age, a bra really starts to bother them. They like total body freedom. When I go out, I wear a bra except when I have on a cover-up kind of blouse or shirt where you can't tell I'm not wearing a bra.

And I bet her husband pops a little blue pill and chases her around the room and they act like a bunch of teenagers.

I've told my teenage daughter that if she ever starts feeling bad about her body to "just go to the beach". No matter how "fat" you might feel you will instantly feel better and ready to throw on the tinyest of swimsuits and be FREE! And your bound to look better than half the people there

I'm gonna keep all the MIL comments in mind when I go shopping with my DIL.
IF I ever do again after reading some comments
But then, I think she (A) doesn't judge others too harshly (B) thinks I have pretty great fashion sense-no matter my age and (C) could not care less if I wear a bra or not.

Wow...I can't even imagine walking around in public without a bra.

At the age of 70, she's probably either beyond caring what other people think, or she forgot... old people tend to forget a lot of things.

Or maybe arthritis makes it hard for her to do the little hooks and things to get the dang thing on. I would imagine putting on a bra would be really tough and tricky as you get that old, and also an embarrassing thing for some to have to ask help with. Can you imagine trying to put on a bra with old, elderly, shaky hands and stiff, painful finger joints... and probably not being able to see what you're doing most of the time, too?
