A cautionary tale for those of us that like to shop....

BBC NEWS | UK | England | Manchester | Shopaholic died under purchases

Quote:
The body of an elderly shopaholic was found underneath a pile of clothing and other items after she died of natural causes.

Joan Cunnane's bungalow was so crammed with purchases it took five visits to the house before she was found.

She had refused to let her friends into the house in Heaton Mersey, Stockport Magistrates' Court was told.

Her friend Roy Moran said the 77-year-old started shopping to escape youths who once plagued her home.

Wow. Youths plague my home, but I'm not out shopping to combat them!

These youths would be my two sons.

We'll be giving her a traditional shoaholic's burial and send her off on a flaming Christmas tree.

Yes, if our kids caused us to be shopaholics....I would have perished a few years ago under 1 mile of crap from WalMart.

Me too! One of my youths is going to be plaguing his grandparents for a week starting tomorrow. I hope they make it out alive!!! the other youth will be going with me to the swing and salsa event here in Palm Springs - so I guess we'll both be plaguing the other dancers - like marauding ghouls!!!
