they showed that on BBC news yesterday(must have been a slow news day) but even the BBC said 'don't Americans have something more important to worry about'??? I agree with BBC, what on earth is going on? People should dwell on the real problems, not this ...
They've got a lot of time to fill on 24-hour news channels. It's kind funny how "Americans are talking about it" but we're only talking about it because it's been on the Today Show and the View and CNN etc.
It's not feminists, it's conservatives who are having the problem. A true feminist believes a woman should wear whatever she wants.

And I don't think it's the conservatives either, I live in an area of many conservatives and they dress pretty darn sexy, at least the ones that have the figure.
I have some shorts just like those. If you saw my "other" shorts, you would have a heart attack.
Anyway, the poor woman couldn't even get to bikini level because they closed the beach while she vacationed there, and now someone is complaining about her shorts? Wow. I knew this reporter just wanted to see her in a bikini to say something and couldn't because she didn't wear one, so he attacked the shorts!
its something i have tossed and turned over most of the night.
its almost as much an issue as the president swimming at the ocean with his family w/o a shirt.
As soon as I heard about this "travesty" it reminded me of what happened to my mom many many years ago.
She was a young preacher's wife and actually have the nerve to wear shorts while shopping downtown! In in middle of summer too!
There were people that actually went to the church committee and complained about it! It almost cost my father the pulpit. Thank God cooler heads prevailed!
People who worry about this nonsense really need to get a life of their own so they can leave other people's lives alone.
