Okay, I know this sounds wierd but, at 31, a gap is forming in my teeth!!!!!!!!

Has anyone had tooth bonding done? Good? Bad?

I know the other option is veneers, but I don't like it.

My mom had that done. The good is that it is relatively cheap and easy to accomplish. The bad is that bonding only lasts so long, and when it chips off it will have to be re-done.

I would try a retainer first. You may be tounge thrusting it outward and they just need tucked back in. Keep your real teeth as long as possible. If you do go for bonding or veneers get a personal reference and don't try to go cheap by getting it done at a dental school or something.

You may want a second opinion ..
I would suggest an orthodontist ..
Gaps mean teeth are shifting and it could be gum or jaw issue.

I would never get veneers. I think they remove some of your original tooth and put it on. So it can't be reversed and there's nothing else you could try later on since they remove some of the tooth.

I got the tooth bonding done a long time ago and it still looks perfectly fine. Maybe 5 years ago.

Have you seen a dentist?

I would explore the cause for sure. I have a gap, where I never had one before, and I believe it's related to gum problems.

My brother has a natural gap and why is it on him it looks "charming" but not so on me??? Hmph.

25 years would be a long time. Bonding typically lasts about 7 years.

Why is it that things can look 'charming' or 'distinguished' on men but not women Not fair I say LOL I had mine bonded due to what a couple of other posters mentioned, but OP at your age I agree as someone else mentioned that you get checked out for any 'problems' that could be causing these gaps. There could be other issues here that need to be taken care of and these sudden gaps forming are a symptom, i.e., you have gum issues then gums start receding and gaps form.

I had bonding done to fill a gap in 1980. It made a huge difference and I have been very pleased with it. The dentist told me it would last about 7 years. I still have it so I consider it to be money well spent!
