Just say NO to sweat pants ok! No body but no body looks good in trailer trash sweat pants ever........... send them to the starving in India or burn them all.
Sweatpants are more than fine for married 30 year olds who don't give a hoot anymore. If you have managed to stay in shape out to 30, sweatpants are no problem for any man. However, if the sweatpants serve to accentuate a distinct apple/pear shape, showcase the gluteal cleft or create the appearance of a "moose-knuckle" then etiquette dictates consideration of others over the comfort afforded thereby.
Totally disagree...I wouldn't want my husband to let himself go just because he's married!! I haven't done that, so he'd better not do it either!
Sweatpants should never, I repeat never be worn in public (males or females). The only time that it's accpetable is if you're on your way to the gym and then only if you're not going anywhere else.
I believe it was Tim Gunn (my personal style hero) who called it the "Slobification of America" LOL
30 years ain't nuthin in the first place. I am almost twice that age, and can still wear the same leather belt I wore in the 8th grade. More or less I still wear the same jeans size as then too, 32" x 33". So far in life I never had a single pair of sweat pants, and am not likey to start wearing these ugly things any time soon.
My wife better not either, and if she does, she's down the ROAD!
I wear sweatpants...actually they're more like yoga pants. I will wear them outside of the house and maybe grocery shopping, other mundane tasks. But if I'm going out somewhere nice I'll certainly wear something better. I see tons of people in the supermarket wearing sweatpants or even worse. One guy was shopping in slippers and pajamas, no one seemed to care.
I only have one pair of jeans though. I love corduroys and khakis.
Let's get one thing straight. I think there is a difference between so called "sweat pants" and "athletic pants". I will be 40 June 15th, work out every day, and am in great shape for my age. I would never wear those horrible looking, drawstring, sweatshirt material pants. Not even to the gym. I am however a HUGE Adidas fan and think their outfits look good working out or going here and there in town.
