That would most likely be because it was petite not small...There is a difference so you needn't call it "stupid" - you just got the wrong size.

No, I got an 8P instead of an 8R. Same size, different cut. It fits fine through the shoulders, but the arms are short.

Ok same size numerically but part of the "size" is the designation of P rather than R (or for that matter W).... a Petite is different than a Small....just like in pants where the legs are shorter, the arms would be shorter in a petite jacket. I still think there was no reason to call it "stupid"...an 8P is NOT an 8R - they are meant for different people.

Muscle is about 20% more dense than fat; so a woman can very easily be those measurements and be thin thanks.

Actually, you took my words out of context, I said 5'3 and 130 is not thin, its more average. I never said it was fat. I was merely replying to the other poster who was bashing the op for being "vain"?! People take things a bit too personally on this board sometimes and react overly sensitively.

Why so complicated?, just get everything tailor-made.lol

Seriously, men have it so much easier. There is a fahionable boutique in London, Astuces, and they only have sizes 1,2 or 3; so much easier I don't have time to try on 20 things at the mall.

The arms are ALWAYS shorter on Petite sizes. Ergo the "Petite" name for the cut.
