Hi,

I wanted to buy a nice watch, that basically looks like an old fashioned gold watch. All these are over 1000$ so what is a good cheaper one at least below 200 to get.

Thanks!

Are you looking for a pocket watch or a classic Rolex-like wristwatch?

My wedding present from my wife was a watch that cost...um, me...$50. It looked gold anyhow.

I can't wear that type of watch band though--drives me nuts.

Actually, I have troubles with any sort of watch. The ones that go on the wrist like a belt buckle? If they're tight enough that they don't feel "loose" on my wrist, then I usually pop the pin when I work and flex my wrist in a certain way. I've yet to find out exactly what that is though.

Really, that's the ONLY reason I carry a cell phone, because it has the time, the date, and I can set three alarm times on it.

Its a mens watch and it is a wristwatch. I just wanted something kind of fancy to wear to weddings or if I get dressed up.

As far as a balance between form and price goes, I really love Skagen watches. They are not exactly "old-fashioned," but I must say they DO pack a punch in the looks department.

Steel Gold Mesh
Part #: 233XLGG
$120.00

Steel Two-Tone on Mesh
Part #: 233XLSGS
$110.00

Two-Tone Big Date Link
Part #: 531XLSGX
$145.00

Sorry for posting watches that aren't exactly gold or old-fashioned...I just think these are the best bang-for-your-$200 watches that just about anyone is going to get.

Have you looked at seiko watches which are very reliable! My favorite one is the one that looks like the Rolex without the high price tag! Go to amazon and get an idear and read the reviews there.
Citizens also makes great watch but cost more.

Invicta makes a slim line of watches, very nice looking, maybe even a bit old fashioned - check them out on Amazon.com
