I don't currently wear them but feel I should. I am almost 40 and wore them a lot in the 80s.

Irregardless of age, are you wearing leggings and if so with what and how much?

On a limited basis with a long tunic style shirt and boots. I have customers and see people though in my local Walmart that never ever stopped wearing them

Sometimes I wear my leggings under shorts in the winter to break up wearing pants every day. They also look really nice with a pair of boots like the above poster stated. I don't think leggings have an age limit as long as you wear something age appropriate with them. I substitute them for tights since I don't always like them so you can even wear them with a dress. there's a lot you can do with leggings. Its why I love them so much! Another thing you can do is with a long tunic, you can add a corresponding belt to give your body some shape.

I just can't bring myself to buy a pair. I mean, they looked SO horrible back then, and I don't see things much differently today.

I don't know how they did leggings in the 80's (born in the 80's lol), but you can't go wrong with neutral colored leggings. A friend of mine would never go near leggings and then I put together an outfit for her and she loved it!

They did them pretty much the same as today. What goes around...comes around.

leggings are pretty much like tights without foot part

I'm looking for some thicker leggings though; like the ones I see models wearing on the runways under long tunics, etc
Most of the leggings I've found are mostly like tights.

I tried to find some leggings but every single pair I've ever tried on feel too much like pantyhose to me, and I don't do pantyhose. So, the leggings are a "no go" for me.

I have several but you're right in that they seem more like nylon. Maybe I should look for a knit type?
I saw wool ones advertised.
Either way I love my legs covered in either tights or leggings when I wear my tunic type sweaters and boots.
