Also the hair is not there to absorb the sweat from the skin around your genitals or any vaginal discharge and to me the resulting sweaty crotch is really disgusting...and all it does is increase your risk of infection.

Personally I would advise any woman to not shave off all of her pubic hair, especially if she is doing it only because some idiot male is telling her to...or because someone is telling her it's "cleaner." It isn't.
Well I never had a problem at all and underwear deals with sweat. You don't get infections from doing things like that. You get infections from being dirty and not doing a proper shave or wax follow up. I don't know about you, but I try not to scratch that area on things hair or not. LOL...That one sent horrible images into my mind. Like attacking trees pantless or something LOL

I am still waiting one the period answer. I seriously want to know.

And oh...I agree with you on the male reason. Thats stupid to do anything for that reason.

As a man... I like women to look like women, not 6 year old girls.

Neatly trimmed I think is much sexier.

I have said it once and I will say it again. A 6 year old looks NOTHING like a fully mature woman in the crotch area hair or not. You guys still look the same down there since you were six?

It's a trend, no doubt. My D22 hasn't fallen for it but many of her friends have. I personally don't care who does what but I don't want to look like a 12 year old OR a porn star down there. There will always be people who do things, it's just too bad young girls always end up on the short end and feel like they HAVE to do things.

Curious...how old is everyone here? 35 and over? I wonder how much this comes into play as its been a "trend" in my generation for uhh....over 10 years...Does that stop making it a trend?

That's a totally ridiculous statement.
So women since the beginning of time were idiots and the women of 2010 are the ones to see the light?
No, obviously you don't. But we all no it's easier to clean up a liquid mess off of linoleum than getting it out of carpet.

And for me personally, I started trimming (in a Brazillian style) back in HS due to cheerleading and comps. Nothing more of a turn off than having short and curlies popping out of your bloomers.

It's simply a turn on for me that she doesn't shave everything.

I just believe that for many women, the reasons are psychological, and I ask women to give more than a fast-food analysis like you do.
Maybe some are, be seriously think about what you are trying to imply. EVERYTHING is psychological, every decision you make, from what clothes to wear, your job, your car, etc...

Not to mention, it's really none of your business, and it's slightly rude to ask women a question, then demand a different answer, or to analize their answer.

Really? You can prove that with all women?
So if a guy is not turned on by a totally shaven woman, the couple will still have better sex?
Well to be honest, fluids ARE more viscous on a smooth surface.....

I rest my case concerning "psychological issues" Proof number one above!

Again, not nice to mock someone, when you answer your question.

Agree with you just about 100%.

I'm 23. I've shaved, at least to some extent, well before it became a trend, and continue to do it. I don't do it for anyone else (heck, no one to do it for, at the moment, anyway!) but myself.

I feel MUCH cleaner (knowing that sweat/bacteria/blood won't be getting trapped in the hair), and even sexier at times. And the whole deal about hair helping? well, that's preference. Cotton panties can work just as well for those that sweat some.

I've never had an infection from shaving, save for maybe an ingrown hair occasionally. Sometimes a tiny cut or two, but hey, that happens on my legs and arm pits every now and then, but I don't make a deal about it.

You and I can't be the only ones that agree on this, Pitt!
