I totally disagree with you about babies being waist killers. I had a baby less than 2 years ago and I have a size 25 waist. I also have a six pack. It wasn't easy though.
Am just wondering if sizes haven't been artificially reduced to appeal to vanity. At my thinnest (quite a few years ago!) I was sometimes a 6, usually size 8, weight 115 lb, 34-25-36, medium frame. That is now a size 4??
I view it as ridiculous that a size 12 is considered plus size. Not sure what the "average" size woman is today, size 16?
Yes, I've noticed this too. I'm old, 54yrs, and when I was in my 20's, sizes were definitely smaller in ladies' clothing. A size 10 was considered a very desirable size and 12 was pretty much "average."
Early 50's work out like a fruitcake, getting tired of it, but have to keep it up for me.
26 inch waist, and very proud of it, Had a Hysterectomy at 39 so i could be really a huge person. I try to eat right, and exercise every day. Right now with the N.Y. I have been dieting, please give me the will to keep this up, need to get to 112 right now i am 115. Some days it is just so hard to make myself want to do it. Doens't make a difference what our Waist's ARE, WE'RE ALL BEAUTIFUL WOMEN NOW AREN'T WE.
Depending on the time of month, my waist varies between 26 and 28. ((I hate bloating))
