I hate having to be spray tanned, but that's what I'm going to do from here on out. I compete in ballroom dance, so I have to be tan in my latin costumes. Previously, I either tanned out by my pool, or I tanned in a tanning bed. While I don't look old and wrinkly, I did get those pesky brown spots from tanning. I am currently having IPL treatments once a month to get rid of all the sun damage - it's working VERY nicely! So, I don't want to ruin my new spot-free skin. I'm going to have to get sprayed.

Every time I've ever gotten sprayed in the past, it was so damn sticky I couldn't stand it! Also, on me, the spray tends to look orange-ish. I have black hair, so orange and black - not a good combo ... like the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! LOL

But ... I have to do it, so no more griping about it!

No way.. I'm pale and proud. I refuse to buy into the whole 'pale skin is unhealthy looking and undesirable' mindset. Isn't that discrimination? I thought we were all supposed to be proud of our skin color.. but apparently that doesn't count for pale people. There's enough people discriminating against pale skin, including those with pale skin. I hear it constantly (putting themselves down, making fun of my skin color as well.. expecting me to be ashamed of myself, saying 'you need a tan!' ..etc..)... always have, and am quite sick of it. So I'm not going to discriminate against myself.

It's one of the great hypocrisies of our time! ('be proud of your skin color- unless you're pale, in that case, be ashamed.. be very ashamed....!')
