Knowing that there are some really great hunters here for information on the net, I was wondering if any of you can suggest some great skincare forums that actually RATE skincare products? My searches on amazon.com go only so far with reviews.
I'd love to know of a skincare forum that reviews and also has ratings of different skincare products done by just folks like us. Possible?

You can find of lot of reviewers on Twitter. They review many skincare products and then report their findings. I can't remember, exactly, what you would search under, but try names or categories under "Beauty" and "Skincare". Hope you find what you are seeking.
mySkin.com a new social media site that focuses on helping women and men
determine the right skincare products for their unique skin profile. Not
sure which products work best for your different skin profile based on
geographic location? Or how genetics play a role in which products work best
for you? Visit mySkin.com and learn which products work.
mySkin.com is a consumer`s dream come true as it finally ends all the wasted
time at make-up counters and finds the perfect products for your skin from
the plethora of products available across brands and retailers. We've
partnered with leading cosmetologists and dermatologists to develop a
scientific approach to making product choices and you'll see that our tools
allow users to figure out products (across all brands and retailers) that
work best for one's skin type, ethnic background, etc. The site is unbiased
since we do not take any advertising from skincare manufacturers.
Developed by 50 doctors and specialists, myskin.com utilizes scientific
principles and sophisticated algorithms to offer you an unbiased product
recommendation that works best for YOU, and not your friend, mother or
favorite celebrity.
mySkin.com's mission is to provide you with the information and tools to
help make better skin product decisions. The site asks you a series of
questions that provide input to a set of algorithms based on your genetics,
lifestyle, environment, diet, ingredients, and people's experiences to offer
you a highly customized array of products that are suitable for YOU, from
over 100,000 products across 4500 different skincare brands. The search is
powered by your skin profile, to help identify products for your specific
skincare concerns - never again "trial and error"!
a.. The site has a very strong social community, and we're launching a new
widget with which users can share skincare products they're considering with
close friends and discuss real time.
b.. It also allows you to create a personal skincare journal, to help
track all your skincare progress, while monitoring how your skin reacts to
different weather conditions. It helps to record personal experiences with
various product brands, allowing you remember which products worked best for
you and why.
c.. There is also a forum to connect with other individuals who may have
similar concerns and questions, and a one stop access to leading skincare
and beauty blogs that allows you to further read and post interesting
skincare topics.
I went to Makeup Alley for a lot of years but now prefer the above mentioned forums. Both are very skin care oriented with the most current, cutting edge brands and therapies. Skin Care Talk appears to have an international membership which gives great perspective on how people from other countries, especially Europe, view skin care. Both boards have Do It Yourself/Anti Aging boards for ideas on how to improve your skin with either home made products or gadgets/techniques not often written about in U.S. fashion magazines.
I would have never heard of dermarolling, Tanaka massage, Stevia face mask, Safetox, Tua Viso, facial exercises (Flex Effects & Ageless if We Dare), LED light treatments+green tea, how to deal with nasolabial folds, many alternatives to Botox (besides Retin-A) if it wasn't for these boards.
I also like Non Surgical Face Lifts
a website that covers many of the topics relevant to the over 40 crowd.
