Ugh, me too. Not only that, but with the weather changes I've started breaking out a little bit.
My hair also gets dry in the winter...dry and greasy at the same time. How does that happen?

Central heating systems reduce the humidity indoors and cold winds strip moisture from skin and hair outdoors.

I have 2 skin/haircare regimes; one for warm weather, the other for winter. Switch to a moisturizing shampoo, switch to a body wash that adds moisture back to skin or even try baby oil, use a lot more moisturizer after your shower (apply to damp skin), and if your scalp gets so dry that flakes appear, try Neutrogena T-Gel shampoo.

This is normal and nothing to worry about.

Here's a tip.

Don't wash your hair and face in too hot of water in the winter time. Hot water dries your skin. And with the lack of humidity and central heat systems our skin takes a beating.

I agree with everything but the baby oil. Baby oil is BAD BAD BAD!!!

I would instead suggest a more absorbable nut oil, like coconut, jojoba, or shea.

You need to change your soap and also use a moisturizer. Commercial soaps are generally very drying. They are basically detergent bars. They are stripped of glycerin, which is a humectant, and have added chemicals. That is why your skin feels so tight and dry after washing. Couple that with the harsh winter weather and dry skin is worse. Get a good moisturizing soap and moisturizer and you should be good to go for the winter months.
