Whether you want to believe it or not, people who don't wear perfume/cologne already have an odor, which is an amalgam of chemicals.
Some just smell more pleasant than others without wearing any scent. Some people need to wear perfume to mask their own odor.
Everyone has an odor whether you wear any perfume/cologne or not.
Just so you know you don't smell like "nothing".
Just so you know...I didn't say a person should smell like 'nothing'. The question that was asked was 'What [cologne/perfume] do you have?' and 'what [cologne/perfume] do you like on other people?' to which I responded

There have also been a number of studies done that show that a person's own scent is very useful in determining a whole range of things including genetic variation.
I have about 20 different perfumes right now but lately I've been wearing Mark Pure (smells like Ivory soap) Chanel Gardenia and Gucci II the most. I rotate them depending on my mood. I've had some for years and they haven't gone bad. I keep them in a shoe box on the floor next to my bed.
I'm going to buy my 19 year old son some original Curve soon. He has been wearing Kenneth Cole Black since high school so it's time for a change
