Try those out on northeastern winter sidewalks sometime. They turn into owner of broken tailbone boots.
Well, inasmuch as I don't live in the Northeast, nor plan any winter trips to the NE - I don't think I'll have that big of a problem. So, I won't be "trying them out"
It depends to me. I have a pair of mule ear, or stove pipe boots 18" tall, and there is no way I can tuck jeans into them. These are like in Lonesome Dove, not fancy but similar to fancy Buckaroo Boots.
I have other more common cowboy boots and I pull my jeans down over them, which is good riding, and walking in the woods to keep stuff out. So it depends to me.
Its been a good while since i broke out my western style boots...as far as tucking the jeans in, i can wear them any way that I want to, i paid for them. lol
