Depends on the individual what looks best IMO. I think clean shaven can look good but so can varying degrees of facial hair as long as it's groomed. (No super long, really scraggly looking beards!)

I personally keep myself pretty clean-shaven out of...not having a choice, really, but since you can't see it (I have fair hair) I can sometimes get away with not shaving for a few days. lol.
