Just throw a super thin tank on under it and tie it off. I think those shirts can be an modesty issue because when you reach for things they can show stuff you were not meaning to show. They kinda remind me of kelly bundy too. I classify mid shirts alone (no tank under) like that as yard work clothing.

PS. Check out some workout tanks etc with "wicking" actions. It sucks the sweat and heat out and are really comfortable in the summer compared to cotton that can get wet and stick. Go with some linen blouses to layer over it if you don't want expose your arms or just like the feel of the shirt on top. Its much cooler than cotton. Don't let prices turn you off either. Properly cared for linen last a VERY long time. So grab some classic ones.

Yep...don't see too many girls over 20 that wear these anymore. Regardless of their shape.

Honestly, I think they are a little slutty. Sorry. And if you're into fashion you should know they haven't been in style forever.

Ok, I don't like belly shirts, but I don't think they are going to mentally scar any children either. Sheesh!

I agree with the comments above--midriff shirts aren't fashionable, and haven't been for almost two decades.

So long as you understand that some places have dress codes (which are garment-specific not age-specific), you should wear whatever you want. It doesn't matter what other people think.

I think if I had to deal with TX heat all summer long, I would be a nudist.

That is the attitude that destroys a culture. What happened to "standards"? I remember when people would not dare to fly on a plane unless they men were wearing a suit and the women dressed up.

The attitude that destroyed a culture!

What happened to standards? They changed. Unless you're wearing a fig leaf on the airplane I guess you'd agree.

Well, to be fair, OP asked the question, so she got answers. Sure she can wear anything she wants, nobody argues with that, but then why ask? I'm sure Amanda appreciates our input.

Thanks guys. I'm definitely taking everything into account, and I appreciate all your input, as Max's Mama said. :-)
