Meh, another double standard. Seriously, nude bathing is the way to go. For anyone who's ever tried it feels so free when you go swimming...

People have every right to mock what they do not like, including speedos

No , unfortunately you don't have the right to mock anything, anytime at heart's will, or society would soon become unlivable. In my country for example, young couples are "making it" (fondling, kissing, and other "antics") in public . I don't make fun of them, although I'd love to, because-contrary to them-I'm well behaved.
So I expect people who don't like my speedos (I wear only speedos at the beach )because I find that white thighs on a suntanned body are ugly and ridiculous.
Once some girl in Mexico told me in a disparaging way , showing my speedos : "sexy"!"(she meant the opposite in fact). You bet I didn't appreciate. I'm tall and well built, I don't have a beer belly, so what's the point? it's not like walking around nude!
"speedos are not fashionable" ? and then what ? I find they provide the best comfort for swimming and for "cavorting" on the beach . And if some snobbish morons look down upon me sneering, I don't give a damn, they are not even worth a response.

you are right about the white thighs on a tanned body, it looks horrible.
I usually roll up my board shorts......not a even tan line, but color does get there.........

this thread really needs to end soon.

If men can't wear Speedos, then Calvin Klein shouldn't have men model underwear either; since they're both "too revealing"....

I understand if some women don't like Speedos, but if you can't agree with the first statement, what's the difference?

Its like the old line about women wearing Spandex; "Wearing Spandex is a privilege, not a right."
In other words, just because one can squeeze ones self into said things, doesnt mean one should, and subject others to the horrors!

...Then the same could be said about women wearing jeans that are too tight for them, causing "muffin tops" etc..

I don't like double standards, but I've learned that they tend to even out. If women set double standards for men, then they shouldn't complain about the double standards men set for women. It goes both ways.

Kind of funny it's seemingly women who object the most...
