Need current information on schools, crime statistics, housing and other relocation factors. Have looked on the net but alot of the information is out dated being based on 2000-2002 information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! This would be a big move for me and my family as we have lived in Georgia all our life.

Hmmm...not sure where the best place to look for more up to date info. But Bentonville and the rest of NWA is growing quite a bit and data tends to get old rather quickly. I'm not from Bentonville but I do live in NWA and can give you some ideas of the metro as a whole. NWA has always had a low crime rate especially compared to the other metros in Arkansas. It's hard to say who has the best schools but all the NWA schools seem to be pretty good. I think Bentonville will only keep getting better receiving a lot of tax money from Wal-mart being located there. In recent years home prices have really gone up quite a bit. But you may have timed it pretty well. Many believe they've currently overbuilt and it's becomming a little easier to find some better deals now that demand isn't as high as it has been for the past decade. I don't have a lot of specific info but I do have a website I can email you if you like.

As for the crime rate, it is low comparatively to other neiboring cities.

The population in 2006 was 32,516. In 2005 the final crime stats showed Bentonville matched up the same with the U.S. average of 327.9. The crime rate is almost 100 points lower than the state average for a population of its size. As for current median house value, I would have to guess around $130,000...whatever it is im sure its higher than the 2000 stat of $91,000.
