Hi

I work in Dallas and my family lives in Bentonville, AR.

I leave Dallas after work hours on friday and had reach by 08:00 AM on Monday to work.

I drove twice from Dallas to Bentonville, AR. I started after the work hours on Friday from Dallas and had to start from Bentonville, AR on Sunday afternoon so that I can attend to work on monday with out getting exhausted.

The journey was too tiring and I feel the travel time is too high for the time that I am spending with the family. (12 hrs Journey to spend 36 hours with the family).

The Airfares are too costly for me to travel on a weekly basis.
I am looking for a public transport (pref Bus) between Dallas and Bentonville.

Appreciate if any one give me a good lead to identify possible travel options.

If you're looking for a bus, try Greyhound. Dallas should have stations there, not sure about Bentonville, but if not there, perhaps somewhere nearby. Of course, it's still not going to save you any travel time. Sometimes they even add to it. But, you at least wouldn't be driving yourself, which might help you feel a bit more refreshed when you arrive home. I'd suggest Amtrak, but I don't think they go near Bentonville and once again, it sometimes doesn't really save on time anyway (although I'm finding it cheaper than driving!).

G'luck! I know how stressful it can be with everyone in multiple states. I'm currently 13+hrs away northwest of Chicago, while the spouse & kiddo are in the LR area. There's no way in heck I would make that drive every week. As is, it will be mid-December before I can make a trip to get back home (been here since mid-August). Prior to that, I was w/ the kiddo in LR area, whereas the spouse was in Nashville. That was only 7-8 hours, but still lengthy (& costly) enough that the trip home went from biweekly, to every 3 weeks, to monthly, to every 4-6 or -7 or -8 weeks.

Best wishes to you & your family.

Cheers~
