I am eager to find out any info about Lincoln, AR. The info can be facts, opinions, or something heard from someone else. Info about the schools would also be very helpful. Thanks!!

I did a little bit of work in Lincoln a couple of years ago. It's nice if you like really small towns, but it is losing some of its old charm. Known for years for their apple festival and having the largest old apple orchard in Arkansas at that time, the orchard has since been bulldozed to make way for a new subdivision. If you like new stuff slapped down in an old spot, maybe it's for you. Geography-wise, you're going to find that it's a bit of a drive to get to Fayetteville for lots of your household needs.

I live in Lincoln they did not bulldoze the apple orchards they are still in the same place as they have always been. The schools are alright they are behind quite abit though compared to Farmington, Fayetteville and other schools around here. The new subdivision he is talking about used to be the put put golf place. Fayetteville is 16 miles from Lincoln which takes about 20 to 30 mins to drive. Which if you want anything decient to eat or want to go shopping thats where you have to drive. The pop in 2008 was 2085. If you are looking to rent the cheapest is 385 for a one bedroom apt. behind the post office. the most expensive is 850 i think. Also job wise you work in Siloam Springs which is 23 miles away or Fayetteville, Springdale which is 25 miles away Bentonville or Rogers which is 41 miles away. Hopefully this all helps. Here is our local web address if you want more info.City of Lincoln, AR.

I drove to Lincoln last year for a job lead. Middle. Of. Nowhere. I drove from Van Buren and then I went to Rogers when I left. It is a very isolated area. I would live in Farmington or Praire Grove and drive to Lincoln if I had to work there. It just seemed like a very economically depressed little town along a remote highway. ...maybe a good plot for a murder movie?

Nice little burger joint in town, fun swimming hole. I've seen much worse communities and people seem to care about each other.

The link omkeen provided was very good....looks like a nice little town to me. I love small towns. That lake is beautiful. Where I live, it's 50 miles to the nearest town the size of Fayetteville.....I wouldn't call 16 miles from Fayetteville "isolated".

It all depends on what you want your life to be like. If you like a slow pace, beautiful scenery, want to know and love your neighbors, and only occasionally need or want to go to the city, that little town looks pretty good.
