I think they've sold something like 10,000 pounds of fish since the soft open. My daughter (currently on vacation) says they have some very big expansion plans so they are definitely experiencing strong demand.

I was wondering how your daughter was getting along. Man, and people actually thought this wouldn't work in Bentonville; how little trust some of us have!!! I am so happy, even if the fish is pricy and yes, the choice sometimes isn't as great as we had hoped. It does show, the fish really is fresh, flown in daily.

I bought a dungeness crab from these guys last nite.

Not cheap.

1 crab cost me $38 but it fed 2 of us pretty well and it was very tasty. Brought it home and steamed it.

wow, that is pricey: we lived in Eureka CA many years ago and used to get them, fresh caught for a $1 each. Of course our monthly salary, in those days and we were supporting 3 kids was much less than our SS is today.

Blue fresh fish marketplace at the intersection of East 5th and "E" Street just off of "J" Street, down the road from the Bentonville Brewing Company. My caught works there and loves the amazing food they cook there. I've taken home their retail catches of the day, and am very pleased. Their ahi tuna makes excellent sashimi.

Any reviews on this place? My daughter is friends with a gal whose mother works there/is somehow affiliated with them. I follow them on Facebook, but it hasn't shown up in my newsfeed. Just searched for them and the food looks really good.

I don't think I have actually seen any reviews, others may have, but I have yet to hear a bad word about them. The plan is to enlarge the place like crazy. The only complaint we have had was, I almost have to question the weight of the sea bass we had. It sure didn't look or seem like almost a lb. Other than that, I am totally entralled. In fact, we may go there this pm and pick up some fresh fish, if not today, tomorrow. for sure.

Okay, I am going to check it out. I wonder how their prices compare to Fresh Market. They have a pretty good seafood counter, but not much in the way of shellfish that I've seen. And their prices can be steep, but there are also some really decent finds. Last week I picked up some wild salmon and grilled it on cedar planks - it was ahhh-mazing.

Prices are very high, but everything is flown in fresh every day or so. When you walk in it really smells like fish, you will know it is fresh. When I say high, it depends on what you are accustom. Lets say this: we love fresh fish, but can only afford to buy from Blu fish every few weeks to maybe, once a month.
