Hi - we are looking to relocate to Eureka Springs from Tulsa in about 18 months. We are very familiar with ES from many visits. Both of our kids will be in college so school and school friends are not an issue. We have both lived in tourist towns so we can deal with that.

Husband has a job which will allow him to work from home but here's the rub - we MUST have reliable internet. In the times we've been in ES, it seems the internet is very spotty to non existent (rarely did any of the home lodging we stayed at had any internet - only hotels).

I've looked online so I know the options in terms of services but I'd like to hear from people living in ES and what service they use, what they think of it etc... We have Verizon cell phone service and could do a mobile hotspot but I would like to have something a bit more permanent.

I don't live in Eureka Springs, but my recommendation for dependable internet would be Cox. Especially in areas where the cable is underground.

Default Cox

After I posted that I went and did some more research and it looks like ES now has more options for internet then they did when we visited some years back. Cox is an option and it is who we use here in Tulsa and it would be my preference over Satellite.

We live in Bella Vista and have a dish. We can't wait for our contract to be up: Jan. With the weather and all the trees it seems our internet and of TV are out about 20% of the time: not really but it is very frustrating. I don't think ES has uverse, but if they do, I would consider it. That is what we are told by everyone around here. Just a thought.
