TheatreSquared to break ground on new facility June 23rd (Fayetteville: house, theater)

For those who aren't aware, TheatreSqaured is Fayetteville's own nationally renowned professional live theater.

They have been operating in downtown for many years. They are building a big new facility, dedicated solely to live theatre performances.

This is about a block south of the Walton Arts Center, which hosts its own slate of traveling Broadway productions, music, comedy and speakers.

thanks for posting this info. We love the Walton Art center, hope this will be as satisfying. I just wish some of this stuff was a little closer to the north part of the region. Now, of course I am hoping for Trader Joes' to get on the ball.

TheatreSquare already puts on performances regularly, they are just housed in an inadequate facility across the street from where their new dedicated theatre is being built.

I understand the envy. I look at lots of the stuff being built "up north" and feel the same way.

Bentonville's independent movie house will be built and open before Fayetteville's even starts putting up steel, I'm afraid.
