I was wondering what sources you check to find out about new businesses coming to the NWA area? I love to support businesses which make NWA home because I want them to stay! I have checked the chamber of commerce websites, Fayetteville Flyer, and of course the newspaper. But, I was wondering if there was anything I am missing. Thanks!

You put a lot of effort into purposely looking for new businesses. I think you've got it covered. I remember years ago when I worked for a visa/mc company who were looking to sign new merchant accounts, they would get a copy of all new business licenses weekly.

Well, I like to know what is up and coming in my community and support new businesses and the people behind them.

to be honest, Rock CLimber has become my source. He seems to always know what is going on. Of course you can check with the C of C but they don't have all the info. I agree with you, be try to support our local businesses as much as possible.

I felt that way when I visited Hot Springs. We probably spent too much money but all of it was local business. We didn't visit a single chain while down there. I eat at local restaurants as much as I can, and with lunch specials it is often cheaper than fast food chains anyway, and obviously much better.
