Wasn't trying to chastise you, Nita, just making sure the ones who don't know you live in BV were aware.

Do you feel it is still a good community for active retired couples to connect with others their age?

oh my heavens yes!!! Our daughter and her husband are in their late 50s and early 60s. They are very active, have lots of friends in the same age group and are always busy. They exhaust us just thinking about all their activities. We are relatively active in our 80s, but are slowing down. If you want to get involved there is something for everyone, from social organizations, to volunteer work. Whether you life outdoor activities or interested in table games, photographry, painting, or whatever there is a place for you.

Thanks for the info. We are looking for a community that we can connect with. We love the outdoors, fishing, hiking, camping. My wife is a quilter and I am a photo bug. We hope to find a good church too. Depending on the arrival of our 2nd grandchild, we hope to visit BV in November.

Congrats on the future arrival on the grandchild. I love being a grandma and our daughter and her husband are so happy their grandkids are close by. We are as well, now that we are GGrandparents.

Now, when you do get ready to check into BV, you may want to contact the Ambassador's club. They will be happy to spend as little or as much time with you as would fit your plans.

Thanks Nita. Our 2nd granddaughter is here and healthy as can be. She was born at Mayo, and man do they take care of mom and baby, and dad too! We visited BV and Hot Springs Village last month, what a beautiful state. We spent a day with an ambassador couple and had a wonderful day. Enjoyed BV, ate at one of the golf course grills and saw everything. We also spent 2 additional days exploring. Crystal Bridges is beautiful and the WalMart "museum" was fun.

However, we found that Hot Springs Village was a better fit; gated, less traffic, etc. We found a level lake lot, .75 acres and 120 feet of lake shore for a very reasonable price. So we pulled the trigger and will be building in HSV in the near future. Thanks for you advice, it was helpful. We will be visiting Rogers and Bentonville often as we travel between AR and MN.

Welcome to the Village. Let us know when you’re here, maybe we can get together.

Glad you found what you were looking for and good luck. As you can imagine, the areas are very similar and yet different is some ways. Enjoy your life in AR. It is a great state and one that is overlooked to often. Sometimes I want it to stay that way.
