When I look at the terrain in Bella Vista, hills and valleys, I think flooding is not a problem even in the heaviest storms. Our town of Paradise is the same, we can have 3 inches in 2 hours and it just drains away. Chico, completely flat, is different, all the canoes and kayaks are out after a heavy rain.

I wonder what's Nita's take on this.

any flooding we have and we do once in awhile lasts maybe a day. Rarely is it so bad you can't drive but there are occasional problems. In 11 years I can only remember a couple of times there was what I would call flooding. I remember the winter after we moved here we had a really hard rain. 2 of our friends in NM say on the weather channel there was flooding in BV of all places.. I just laughed when they called us out of concern.. The flooding amounted to a couple of cars getting stuck, not ever where the water was high enough to be dangerous. Now, further south closer to Fayetteville there can be more problems. The worse usually affects bridges and people have to find alternative routes for a few days or maybe even a bit longer. uing aand where theroleega fing gly th toc r

Nmnita, was there any serious flooding in Bentonville or Bella Vista area last 2 days. I believe the storm we had last night hit your area first and we had flooding in the usual areas. How about you?

Nope, we did have a lot and we are tired of it, but no flooding of any kind; just a lot of leaves from the trees. For those who have rock front lawns it is hard to tell what the front lawns are with all the leaves. Looks we are going to get some more today and maybe even tomorrow, but of course they said we would get some overnight and we didn't get a drop here.
