I know this isn't an 'emergency,' but does anyone know a good hairstylist who is working right now?? I am Covid-19 negative and have completed the 14 days of quarantine. I have masks, gloves, and anything else needed. I just can't stand the grow out and the unibrow-lol.

Other than that, what a fantastic place this is to live!! I feel entirely at home, and I keep pinching myself that we made it! I feel like we left the asylum, aka California, and landed in America!! Although we lived in the far northern part of CA, which is more sensible, the wildfires that plague that area ruined my lungs and throat for almost two years. I was a shut-in most of the time, but I am now off my maintenance meds for the first time in many years, and I have not needed my nebulizer or Atrovent since leaving CA! I needed my nebulizer EVERY day before leaving CA!!

What a fantastic change in our lives!! I have been able to walk briskly and as much as I can EVERY day here!!!! I have SO missed my long walks and hiking since the Carr/Camp fires of 2018!! It means the world to be able to put on my sneakers and just head out without worrying about my lungs! It is the greatest gift I've received!!
haircuts are illegal right now.

Our gal just has a small shop attached to her house and only works about 3 days a week. Her phone message simply says: To my regular clients, i will be giving you a call to set up appoints. I just hope it is in the next few weeks. I have no idea how long we are going to have to wait to get our pedicures

And my hair is reaching Lonesome Dave Peverett of Foghat's length. I need the Governor of New Mexico to lift this ban so I can get my hair cut!

RIP Lonesome Dave Peverett

It's really a shame you had to bash CA, and couldn't just get to the point. CA has fresh air, I understand about the fires, and it too bad it impacted your health. But that didn't last for long, you make it sound like you hadn't fresh airs in 2 years....sigh.

People like you have just added to the divide of this country, Pitting one state against another, it used to be "United We Stand Divided We Fall", boy has this country fallen, and not just because of this. This will be it though.

Go on You Tube and learn to cut you own hair, have you other half assist you.

America huh? America is done dear, and in good part to people who have become so intolerant. Red state, blue state, well the economy in case you hadn't noticed tanked. Everyone will be impacted in some way. And civil unrest is also a real possibility.

My late father said about 10 years ago, this country implode from within, it won't be Islamic terrorists. Glad he isn't hear to see it come to fruition.

Surprise, surprise you can't get a haircut in Arkansas for the time being, and I wouldn't hold my breath for that May 6th date, better get some clippers.

Government created scarcity and problems what else is new. As a man it is a little easier for me to get away with a homemade haircut, but I can understand it being much more stressful for females. With the stupid restrictions it will probably take a month or more for "normal" people to get taken care of. At least the hair professionals can try to stop the bleeding I guess and make back some of the money they lost over the last 8 weeks. They will certainly be fully booked throughout the rest of the year.

Actually all our family and friends have been able to get appointments pretty easily which is a surprise to all of us. We haven't tried the manicure place yet and that is one I am a bit worried about having openings. At least the weather in the next week or so is going to be crappy enough that we don't need to bring out the sandals.

as or men versus women through all this: yes, men can to the hair cutting a little easier but women can always find someway to fix their hair as it grows before they can get it cut. If you could see my husband right now, with a crew cut that is a month late getting cut. It is a pretty funny sight.

RIP Lonesome Dave Peverett
I saw Lonesome Dave in Houston in 1972 at Hofheinz Pavillion when Foghat played with Johnny Winter. What a great show!! My cousin and I drove from Monroe, La to Houston in his Truimph TR6 with the top down all the way and we looked like lobsters when we got there. I still have several albums of his when Dave was still with Savoy Brown before Foghat. Fabulous music if you like the blues which is my favorite.
