We're planning a move to the area. My wife saw a place she really liked in Bella Vista, but we're also considering Fayetteville, Bentonville, and Rogers. What are to good options or pros/cons for the area internet? We had really bad experience with AT&T here in Texas, would like to avoid that. Any wisdom to share? Thanks in advance!

I you check further into Bella Vista double check that you can get internet. I was told AT&T and Cox were available, but neither are. Luckily I have a hotspot from my RV traveling days. T-Mobile has been oversold in most of the area including Bentonville and Rogers.

You may need to check individually for any particular home you are considering. I'm in The Highlands side of Bella Vista (just west of Scotsdale Golf Course) and we have Cox cable service which has so far proven to be very reliable.

The Top 11 Internet Providers in Fayetteville, AR (Feb 2022)

AT&T and Cox Communications. Since you don't like AT&T that would leave Cox as your only real option.

I've had AT&T before in Bentonville, and once they got it right (took several tries) it was reliable if unspectacular speed wise. When we moved I was told AT&T wasn't available in my new neighborhood (turned out not to be true) and went with Cox's top tier service and it has been very nice to have so much speed and bandwidth considering my wife and I ended up working from home for two years. Cox does seem more prone to outages though than AT&T. Several multi-hour outages in the last 2.5 years we've had the service.

Bella Vista is a crap shoot for many services due to the terrain.

I have AT&T in Bella Vista (West side of Windsor lake). AT&T has fiber here. Works great for us, never down, fast speeds.

I have ATT. No issues with downtime or bogging down. They were quick to get line fixed when it was cut and box replaced when lightning took it out. Unfortunately they have a max speed of 25 here with no plans to improve line. 1/2 mile away they have fiber though. I’m on a waitlist for starlink so maybe that will work.

I am also waiting on Starlink being I don't have any other options. What are your dates? Mine is late 2022.
