Yup, finding a good mechanic for those older gas tractors is a challenge since the good ones died off.

On a sidenote, a 49 8N Ford was our first tractor .
Should you ever find yourself going north on 63 toward Mammoth Springs, just before you get there, watching the left side of the road, you'll come upon a sizeable metal shop building on the left, sitting a bit high.

Running to the north of that building, for a long ways, are antique tractors. I have no idea how many, because I've only viewed it from the road, but let's just say it's extensive. Non restored, just original.

I don't think it's a "parts" setup, because all the tractors are parked facing north, up against one another.

You know that mythical place that elephants go to die? This is where the tractors go.

It is something to behold.

We've got some great restorations around here, including two steam powered tractors. These are all parade tractors though. The workers work, and the other one stays in the shed until it comes out briefly on the weekend.

One thing about tractors like the M and the 8/9N's are that there are so many still around that parts are not that hard to find.

thanks, the next time I am in the area I definitely will check that place out.

I love old tractors, even if they are still in " farm shape"

My uncle always had Minneapolis Molines and now has 13
None are restored, but all run and all were/are used on his farm.
