We are thinking of moving to bentonville, rogers, or bella vista areas but are concerned with all of the foreclosures in this area. Can anyone tell me why there are so many? What would be a good area to look at?
We appreciate your help.

Its probably for the same reason it is everywhere. People simply got too many easy loans and now can't afford homes they shouldn't have been able to afford in the first place.

I agree. Though Arkansas has cheaper living than many states, we are still feeling the housing crunch just like the rest of America. It's really a great time to buy in my opinion. Selling on the other hand is horrible.

The NWA area is also terribly overbuilt, I hate to say. Why go buy a foreclosure when there are brand new construction homes in the area that are a year or so old but still never been occupied? I'm afraid that area is going to see some pretty hefty price drops in order to correct. However, there still seem to be plenty of jobs available and new companies relocating there bringing more jobs. I think the market will correct itself and get healthy more quickly than many other parts of the country.

I agree with Stormcrow, forget the foreclosures and buy something, either new or well kept in a nice neighborhood.

I am not sure the foreclosure rate is much different here than in most parts of our country...

This is a great time to make a move, get in to something you like while property prices are down..

Stormcrow, I think the property have already come down a heck of a lot and yes, may ease somemore.
