Just saw it. I thought it was a fascinating look at the last decades of his life as he waded through family and personal life plus professional success. I think Timothy Spall who portrayed Turner really got the personality and essence of the man in his acting. I know he did a lot of research before filming began.

'Mr. Turner' is an enlightening film focusing on a great artist and his temperament. And to think all of it went into creating that fabulous art which he gave to us to enjoy.

Make sure you get it!...;-)...It gives a great picture! And some shots by Mike Leigh and his cinematographer are just fabulous to view and contemplate. Amazing how a little window can 'frame' much in the life of an individual artist.
