Yes, and?
Do you want to discuss setting?

I am not sure what you mean by "discuss setting." I was sharing an interesting story about a work of art.

My bad and Google grammar corrector
I meant what you would like to discuss?
The image was reportedly made by Robert Peake, court painter to King James I, and is signed and dated 1608.
Someone will own the only portrait ever made of Shakespeare while he was alive.

Some arts sells on auctions for lots of money. Way, way more, actually.

To my mind the most interesting this about this is the question as to whether or not this is a true depiction of the bard. I offered the link so others could read the article and maybe comment although that was not necessary.

That's how he was depicted and there is no doubt that the portrait is legit.
Why would you think that the painting isn't a true depiction of the bard?
"Those behind its sale claim the connections between Shakespeare and Peake are “extensive” and that the artist was regularly commissioned to paint the portraits of high-ranking members of the court and Jacobean society."
The portrait was extensively investigated. "There is more evidence for this portrait of Shakespeare than any other known painting of the playwright."
I think, whoever is going to spend over $12M for that portrait will make sure that the authentication is correct and legit.

I think there was some confusion, and one of the alleged portraits was deemed fake. But that claim was about another portrait of Shakespeare called The Flower Portrait.
