The honest answer to that is none. Get a nano tank with a filter.

That is an ignorant website. Any fool can create a website and state his/her opinion on just about anything, but that doesn't make it true. This reminds me of the commercial that makes fun of people who believe everything they read on the internet:

NONE NONE NONE!

all fish reuire filtration fo some kind (even a simple undergravel airpump set up...
fish produce waste, wasteturns into amonia, without somehting to remove the amonia form the water your fish will eventually be swimming in a puddle of amonia...

how would you like it if someone sat you in a small glas box...about the ize of a 4x4 cell...you are not given a toilet or a bucket and must just use the bathroom wherever onthe floor...someone will be by once a week to hose down your little cell but otherwise you get to live in a weks worth of excrement...eventually that ltitle cell is going to get full and produce some angerous fmes pretty quickly...CAN you live that way..probably, SHOULD you?! s it good for your health? NO!

None.

Betta bowls are cruel. When i kept a Betta, i kept it in a 40 gallon planted aquarium with only a few other docile fish.

It's almost as bad as when i see someone buy two Oscar Ciclids....and a 20 gallon tank.

I normally have a 5 gallon tank for my bettas but it broke in a move. So far my betta has been doing fine for about 2 years in a "goldfish bowl". I do think those little betta bowls are cruel. My betta likes his swimming room and the plants he takes naps in. You just have to be mindful to not overfeed and change the water regularly. (about 1x a week)
