I broke the canister filter trying to get the hoses off, Plan-b? use the aerator from the old aquarium and forget about filtering, lottsa air bubbles should keep the water in motion.

I'm starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel,
Bubbles work for water movement but leave a bit of froth on water surface, next step paint some green highlights on back wall add some wood features and more plants and at some point some small fish.=

The filtering problem was solved with a small submersible filter meant for turtles.Next up,trying to hide a water heater then a dozen small tetra type fish.

The completed project with 6 elusive Danios and 6 equally elusive white clouds, heater behind the rock. No further maintenance required as all the foliage is plastic.=

Odd problem, the treelike piece of wood i have in the tank has sprouted some kind of mould or fungus making the entire piece of wood covered in white fur, Throw it out or soak it in bleach?
