I don't see any mention of including a heater. Most tropical fish like 75-78F, 65 would be too cold for a Beta, they are $10-20. The Beta can survive without an airstone though would be happier with one, also it's more interesting for the grandkids. The fish has no need for decoration, so get something that will be fun, and is easily removed to clean since they always tend to attract algae.


We have a silicone anemone and it's cool, waving around with the motion from the filter water, but hard to clean.
