They are good burgers, but they should be considering what they charge for them. I think their strong suit is the available condiments and toppings for the burgers.

Yes, good burgers, but no WOW factor.

Cal Ranch (whatever that is) will be going into the old K-Mart/Price Choppers on Fourth Street in Sunnyside. I worked there for Hastings while we were moving everything from that temporary location back to Riordan Ranch after the roof was rebuilt. I feel bad for whoever has to go in there and clean it up before Cal Ranch starts moving in. The building's kind of a dump. Flag PD used it (maybe they still do?) for SWAT training exercises, and there's a ton of spent shell casings littering the floor back by the delivery bay.

Five Guys...huh. I'm still not sure why places like Kingman, Prescott, the Four Corners area and even Dallas get an In-N-Out while Flagstaff is ignored.

Granted In-N-Out is incredibly overhyped, but its still a good, fresh burger at a decent price. I'm one of those people that can't stand Diablo Burger, but I like Bun Huggers. Any new burger town will have some formidable competition from local establishments.

Five Guys is a very good burger, but I still don't think it holds a candle to In N Out. If the two were right next to each other, I don't think I'd set foot in the Five Guys one time.

I like Five Guys but I don't see how it is any different than Johnny Rockets or those type of burger places. It's fast food. They have Five Guys in airports. It's not something to celebrate in my opinion. When In-n-Out first came here, I remember the 2-3 hour lines. People who moved to Phoenix from California laughed because in So Cal, In-N-Out is just fast food but here it was some 5 star restaurant. It took the Valley a lot of In-n-Outs before people relaxed and realized it's fast food and not food of the gods.

Unfortunately in-n-out is not what it once was. We call it "salad bar on a bun". All I can think of when I get a burger there is "where's the beef"? The patties have gotten paper thin and generally smaller than the bun. Their fries are still good as are the shakes.
Five guys still puts meat on the bun and there are sooo many combos you can do with the available toppings or get all of 'em. The fries are as good the only pity is there's no shakes there. The cajun fries are just costco cajun spice out of a shaker but still tastes ok.
