It was beautiful but freezing and just seems too early in the season to me.

Here I go again, wanting to move somewhere warmer, it hits like clockwork every Nov. and lasts through Mar. .

Hey Adventuregurl................(I agree)

Over the last 6 winters I've spent 3 of them in the Sedona area.............other locations have been Oro Valley, Casa Grande and off the coast of S/E Georgia.
I have to agree that 50 to 60% of the winter weather (Nov, Dec, Jan,& Feb) can be a little disappointing in Sedona. I realize that every area has it's "positives and negatives": i.e. Oro Valley= more desireable weather, but more congestion & more traffic........Casa Grande= again better winter weather, but "not a lot going on" in that area........St Simon's Island (Ga). very scenic and historic area with quite a number of events and things to attend and do, however the "constant high humidity" and resultant insects and bugs are a "bit much"..........sooooooo, as is quite evident, we all have different likes and dislikes, just as we all have different types of interest(s) and hobbies and are more tolerant of some local conditions more than others in order to persue what we enjoy. At my age, I will probably continue to look for an area that will satisfy my most of my desires and requirements for an enjoyable winter stay "in the south-land"

Just the ramblings and opinions of "one who has 'been-around-the-block' " more than I'd care to admit.

Checked out weather for today and it was only 35 when I got up at 5:30! It IS cold already but I think it might warm up a bit, once these storms get past. As long as the wind isn't blowing I can deal with the cold. Besides, it gives me something to complain about other than the heat! It's much to early for snow though, IMO!

I'd rep you for this post but as the old saying goes 'I have to spread them around' . St Simon's Island (Ga) sound interesting, I must check it out, were the bugs bad even in the snowbird season?

Yup the looooong range forecast doesn't show warmer weather - I checked as afar as it goes. I assume it will get warmer eventually. The cold wind is brutal. I'm from Toronto and it's much warmer there right now.
