What is your experience with this? Would you continue to do it? I'd love advice from people who have actually done it..Any folks live somewhere between these two places?

Thanks!

I drive from Flagstaff to Prescott for doctor visits. Usually it amounts to once every other month. In my opinion that is too often because it is too far. I would continue to do it, but only because there is no other choice. I wish Flagstaff had a full range of physician care, but I cannot find a neurologist in Flagstaff for my wife.

If you're looking for a town in between the two cities there are only two choices. Camp Verde, along the Verde River, is a nice town at a lower elevation. I've always appreciated the dramatic white limestone rocks and the rare riparian desert ecology. Williams is the other choice. Williams is a small version of Flagstaff with the Ponderosa Pines and a mountain to overlook the city. I wouldn't mind retiring to either city, but I wouldn't enjoy the drive if I had to work.

I live equidistant between them. I wouldn't want to regularly commute either place, but I suppose if I had to Prescott would be a better choice, due to the winter weather. Flag TO Prescott on a regular basis? Only with a company car and not if I had a family or anyone else I wanted to spend any quality time with. Ugh....
